Acknowledgements to participants of Million Marihuana March 2014

Dear legalizers,
big thanks to all of you for your participation at this year's demonstration for the legalizations of cannabis. You were awesome! Although the weather conditions in the evening had been unfavorable, we are pleased that many of you, hardcore supporters, stayed till the very end.
Unfortunately, we have to repeat for those who left earlier, the prohibition and repression of cannabis took its toll at this year's MMM as the representative of the Dutch company of Paradise Seeds had been arrested and brought to the police station. According to the police, by offering cannabis seeds, cannabis strains catalogues and posters he commited the crime of „spreading drug abuse“, when by this activity he had tempted others to abuse other addictive substance than alcohol. Moreover, doing so by spreading printed materials could be classified as „of a higher danger for the society“. In the first round of this police hassle, cannabis seeds worth several thousand CZK had been confiscated, in the second round he is awaiting a trial.
The Legalizace.cz association strongly condemns such acting of the police, where the law enforcement instead of clearly defining the meaning of the „spreading drug abuse“ article use their very distorted and laic judgement without any expert evidence.
The raids on the growshops as well as the police harassment of legal products salesmen at the MMM 2014 has been fully controlled and overseen by the National Anti-narcotics Agency, whose actions against any attempts of self-cultivation or self-supply of cannabis are allegedly consecrated by the Attorney General Lenka Bradáčová.
Thus, our opponents are really very strong and „powerful“. On the other hand, we, the legalizers are more in numbers and if these pseudo-authorities want to arrest everybody who takes care of his own personal supply, no matter if medical or recreational, they would have to close the iron curtain again as in the times of communist totality. Moreover, it seems that police raids on growshops and persecution of self-cultivation and any kind of cannabis promotion might be the result of the joke of the medical cannabis „legalization“ that should bring overpriced cannabis to the pharmacies in the future.
Today, everyone who grows his own cannabis, who looks for seeds and information and who elaborates medical cannabis products, or who provides such goods, services and information, all such people form competition to the amoral and shameless efforts of some lawmakers and professionals who are about to try to sell cannabis to the patients for higher than current blackmarket prices. Until there's no legalization of self-cultivation and possession for personal use besides the medical cannabis legalization, the medical cannabis law will remain a gross scam on the weakest parts of the society – the patients and the elderly – who are being forced to buy their medicine only in pharmacies, under the threat of criminal prosecution otherwise. And even so only if it will be finally available there ever!
For now, we witness only police harassment, unkept promises and shameless fudging of information by some cannabis quasi-professionals, who only care about profits instead of people's wellness. Therefore we repeat again: the „spreading drug abuse“ law is a totalitarian relic, its police enforcement resembles the activities of communist secret police, and the claim that overpriced cannabis in the pharmacies is something else than the cannabis from your garden is blatant arrogance and mockery of the common sense.
The growers are the real legalizers.
